Only in non-standard situations: moving the boiler, adapting or extending the flue, replacing outdated pipework, or adding an expansion vessel or smart thermostat. We always put this in the quote beforehand, never afterwards.
A standard replacement takes about 4 to 6 hours, so you normally have heating and hot water again the same evening.
A serviced boiler is safer, uses less gas and lasts longer. Choose a plan, and we schedule your service automatically.

Most Dutch homes are heated by a gas-fired cv-ketel (central heating boiler). It is a combi boiler: it heats the water for your radiators or floor heating and also gives you hot tap water directly, without a hot water tank. Modern boilers are HR (high-efficiency condensing) boilers; older ones are VR boilers.
Check the pressure on the display or gauge now and then: with the system cold it should be between 1.5 and 2.0 bar. A well-maintained HR boiler lasts roughly 15 to 18 years.
The CW class (comfort warm water) shows how much hot water the boiler can deliver at once.
A poorly working gas boiler can release carbon monoxide, an invisible and odourless gas. That's why we measure CO at every service. In the Netherlands, companies that install and service gas boilers must be CO-certified. HanVos is.
